A return to traditional values has brought about an increase appreciation of civility. A foundation of good manners gives young people an opportunity to learn and practice leadership skills, courtesy, respect and self-confidence now and for the rest of their lives. Training a child for a successful future begins early. Polite, well-mannered children get along better with their peers, as well as their teachers and parents. Etiquette and good manners are learned and must be practiced daily. When a behavior is repeated often enough, it becomes automatic.
